Increased limits for charitable deductions in 2005

KETRA (Katrina Emergency Tax Relief Act) passed by Congress provides for significant increases in the tax deductibility of charitable donations made between August 28 and December 31, 2005. This document explains the temporary rules which raise the limits on cash contributions from 50% to 100% of 2005 Adjusted Gross Income (AGI).
