Glass-Steagall Resurrected – in the UK that is

If the Brits can take a sensible approach to reining in the appalling excesses of their major financial institutions, then why can’t we?  Just asking.

Note they confront head-on the favorite complaint of the industry that these measures will put the UK banks at a competitive disadvantage vis a vis their global brethren.  Apparently there will be no more race to the bottom for the English.
