“US not Japan” … Really?

The very credible BCA (Bank Credit Analyst) argues in this post that the US is not headed to a Japan-style “lost decade”.

The post is accompanied by the following graph of the US stock market (1990-today) scaled to look eerily similar to that of the Japanese (1979-today).  If this picture is worth its thousand words, then it looks like we may be in for a very rough tide these next few years.
