Notes From the Fieldby Martin Weil

Individuals trust their financial advisors more than doctors?

So says a recent survey of 1005 investors conducted by John Hancock.  As reported in Financial Advisor magazine, 84% of those surveyed said they had a high degree of trust in their financial advisors, followed by doctors (79%), accountants (74%), contractors (52%) and real estate agents (43%). As much as I would love to gloat, I have to take this report with a grain of salt. I am certain a similar survey of patients for example by a medical trade journal would show very different results – all a question of who is sampled.
